Just been around to some friends place and they were in the process of cleaning up around their shed and came across these that they wanted to get rid of. 2 full drums and one half drum of Jet A1 one still has the seals on top..... Bonus!!!! The only problem is that they are at least 10 years old and probably older. Other than water or bits of crud in the fuel is there any way I can check if it still useable? Or should I just throw some through a turbine and see what happens? Ian...

If the drums are still sealed ...............it'll burn ................heh heh , even the opened one should still be OK to use once any water has been removed ..............JET A is only "glorified" kero , so even if some of the "volatiles" have gone theres still plenty of other stuff left to burn .
I've used old household heating oil without problems .
Cheers John
