I have a Jet-ski available for a few hundred. I don't much care for them but having one jet powered would be super cool.
I'm thinking mating up the existing impeller to a drive turbine and of course thrust out the back. I'm wondering how big of a turbo / motor I could fit in there and would it produce enough power. I'm also thinking a little steam might provide some added thrust.

Hi Syler
The "jet" in the jetski will be designed for a certain horsepower requirement vs rpm , you'd need to replicate that "gearing" if you want success .
I'd suggest you get a decent sized thrust engine going first , this can then be used as the gas producer for a horsepower producing unit .
A 100 hp engine will need a roughly 80-100 pound thrust engine, so a 3 - 3.5 inch inducered turbo , Garret TV 81 to TV84 size , the TV84 I used in my bike would easily produce the required 100 HP
Cheers John
