Hello everyone, I would like to make a mptore 190 pounds of thrust, I would have thought the compressor of the turbo garrett GT 6041 R as compressor but I would like to associate an axial turbine but which associate? another thing is the combustion chamber as the program jetspecs me from the very large values (Flame tube length: 634.2 mm,Flame tube diameter: 211.4 mm) as possible? thank you very much for the help you can give me.
savior
ps. sorry my english

Hi Savior
A suitable axial turbine wheel for a GT6041 compressor wheel isn't readily available :-(
Thats why we use radial inflow wheels .................why do you need an axial wheel rather than use the GT6041 radial turb wheel ??
The combustion chamber can be reduced if theres more sophistication with the fuel and air presentation as can be the case when constructing a "micro" style RC aircraft engine rather than a DIY type turbo based engine, the TV94 based micro engines that Anders and myself have constructed are flowing only ~10% less than a GT6041 compressor wheel , TV94 has 98mm comp inducer vs 106mm for the GT6041 , the GT6041 flow tends to choke at high rpm/PR due to its high Trim number , 56 Trim vs 48 Trim for the TV94 , same 141mm exducer .
Cheers John

hi jhonn
thanks for the reply, I'm closely following your engine project 10/98, that according to the calculations should be fine by the evidence that you've done pushing 70/80 kg ?
thanks savior
