Hi guys
Just tried to test out my combustion chamber today (built to Jet Specs recommendations ) and found out that there is some kind of shut off valve in the tank itself that keeps shutting off the gas. There is no regulator on the line I am using just a needle valve . Could I use a high pressure regulator like this one , does it allow more gas to flow ? or just allows a higher pressure but still an insufficient amount of fuel to flow ? www.ebay.ca/itm/Gas-Regulator-0-5-4Bar-Butane-Propane-Burner-High-Pressure-New-Silverline-/360946598818?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item540a1803a2 or is there some other way besides trying to find an old tank and valve , The only source of propane tanks around me that I know of are the exchange a tank places so all the tank are the same.. any help would be great thanks so much

Hi Mike
Looks like you'll need to find a different tank , it won't make any difference if you fit a regulator , as soon as the regulator starts to draw the maximum flow rate that the tank shutoff valve will allow, it will shut off supply exactly the same as with your needle valve...........LOL, its for your safety ;-)
Most regulators can't flow sufficient fuel for a gas turbine, the one in your Link has a max flow of 6Kg/hr or 13.2 lbs/hr , assuming the usual 60:1 overall A/F ratio thats a turbo flowing only 13.2 lbs/minute , or about the smallest turbo made.
