Hello to the group. Found this forum through the Yahoo Groups DIY turbine bunch so you can blame them. My retirement plans include engine and turbo based engine projects and my home machine shop is just about ready. I have a goodly library of plans but several moves have thinned out the collection. One that I cannot find is the Phoenix jet engine plans I purchased many years ago. This was an early version of the engine. I was wondering if plans are available anywhere, especially for the later versions.

Bingo. They list the Phoenix 30.3 and Mk IV. They seem to be working on their own design using turbo wheels. Have to find out more about that. Thanks a bunch.

Hi Don, I see you're in Manitoba, the company I work for is based in Winipeg, "Standard Aero"...small world..
I'll be interested to see how you get on with the Pheonix, they're a different machine compared to the ones I play with.
Cheers, Smithy.

Well hello. Standard Aero, I know it well. We will have to do coffee some day. I live up at Clear Lake but come to Winnipeg often. Maybe I will get in touch with you at your shop.

Oh that is hilarious. Of course Standard Aero is everywhere. Given the temperatures here today I may call at your door yet. Getting very tired of winter.

Don LOL...No probs...is ~32C here today....I'm guessing you have something similar...but in the "minus" range..! Been working for S/A for ~14years here in Sydney, even John (Racket) has been to my work for me to do a balancing job or two..! Cheers, Smithy.
