Hi Anders, No he doesn't have any C30 wheels i was a bit confuse about the wheels he has for sale, but you should ask him as he told me he got 50 different types of wheels have been chatting to him about the wheels and these are TFE 1st stage turbine wheels was talking to John and they would be good for a free power setup? . Cheers, Mark.

Aha, I sent John an email about it before I saw your reply. The C20 4th stage wheels I have is apparently good for 200hp so I donĀ“t think I will need to change to a larger freepower any time soon anyway, but it is always hard to let a potential bargain pass you by.

Mark,
That axial compressor rotor looks pretty sweet too....it looks even better on my dining room table!
I have bought a bunch of stuff from that guy....great guy...great stuff...reasonable prices.
I think the turbine wheels are meant to say TPE-331. The TFE-731 first stage has individual turbine blades and a much larger diameter (I have one of those too). The TPE-331 engine uses these cast wheels.
I agree that it is hard to pass up a bargain. I bought several of those wheels, because I can barely get a turbocharger turbine wheel and shaft for $100....much less a nice axial wheel!

Hi Chris, Yes he has some nice items I have the 2nd stage and 3rd stage TPE331 wheels and one of those FTE 1st stage wheels see pics. Me and John had a good chat about them last night unfortunately can not use the TFE 1st stage wheels for a engine build but they could be use for a free power unit He sounds very helpful, that's good that you have a good supply of turbine wheels on hand Cheers, Mark.

Hey Mark, Those are nice GTCP331 or TPE331 wheels. I am not seeing a TFE731 wheel, am I missing something? I am not aware of another Honeywell engine with the designation TFE other than the TFE731 and TFE1042, btu I assume you are not talking about the 1042. Here is an image showing the TFE731 1st stage wheel...much larger than the 331 wheels. Individual/separable blades, etc... The 331 would have no chance swinging that 731 compressor wheel or its axial friends! Ha! I have checked the numbers on my turbines and they are the cast versions (as opposed to the forged). I have no idea what I would use them for other than being beautiful works of machined art! ~ Chris

Hi Mark
Maybe they're older TPE331 wheels from a smaller horsepower engine than the ones we have wheels for , there have been a number of "upgrades", come to think of it , I've got a "smaller" NGV (second stage ??) for a TPE331 here somewhere , Andrew sent up up with the TPE wheels years ago and I wondered what it was for at the time , it might be an explanation , always hard to fathom out from just a pic on Ebay :-(
Chris' wheels are certainly much larger, so that discounts those wheels as TFE .
But those Ebay wheels are at a very reasonable price if someone needed a decent sized wheel for a freepower and couldn't source an Allison C20 3rd or 4th stage wheel, the Garrett ones are a tad "heavy duty" compared to the Allison, but a wheel is a wheel if you don't have one , I would have jumped at the chance a decade ago when scratching around for a quality large wheel before Andrew sourced the C20 3rd stage wheel for "Frank" :-)
Cheers John

Mmmm i don't know if it is a TFE wheel. I have the part and serial numbers for the TPE wheels 2nd and 3rd stage But carn't find the documentation for the other wheel. Have you check out www.partslogistics.com If i need to find out what a part number is i go to them. Cheers, Mark.
