Hello everybody! (= hej in swedish) See anders I finely got around to do a build thread here Well, I sort of promised that during this years speedweekend. Sooo how am I. My name is Daniel Lövgren, I live in Sweden (the land of only absolute normal people) and I am 25 years old. I was 22 years old when I started "racing" at speedweekend with a pulsejet engine (never run). As it was my first build it came out heavy.... no freaking back breaking heavy. The year after that I bought a rc model jet engine (amt 450at 23kg thrust) and I already had a ATJ120ti jet engine. So that year I had time(3 months) to build a nice ice racer. Yes it wasn't the best ide to do this in my apartment. Yes 3 months prove to be to little to make a plug, mold and vehicle so no racing that year. It was made in carbon fiber. But this is all history to show you what led me up to my current project. A very nice man saw my build thread and he thought that I should have a better jet engine. This VERY nice man was the owner of JET-RPM Sweden and he sponsored me with a JET-RPM 8000aps jet engine that gives 70kg in thrust. To this day I still can't get my head around that someone would let me play with something like this. New engine needs a new vehicle and as i had the mold left from the first true ice racer I molded a new one and redid the back end. I didn't use the carbon fiber body because it had to many air bubbles in it and it was less work to make a new one than to fix all the fault on the carbon fiber one. See also a new work space:)

rear axle. Both the front and rear axle have suspension. Front axle. Beginning to look good. Apparently i need to brake at some point so here you can see the covers for the two 90cm nomex and kevlar brake parachutes. Some wings to hold the nose down when going fast It is truly fantastic what some paint and stickers can do. Oh yes and a new work space again, now my one. A jet engine always need a afterburner I did the afterburner my self. The spark plug was too shot so i had some trouble to ignite the fuel. Now at speedweekend 2015. Speedweekend 2014 melted away so no racing then. On my second run my front ski prove to have to little grip so the side wind pushed me off the track at 120km/h. I later changed the front ski to one that had a knife egg cut. This worked very well so now my stering was super sensitive and i had to back off at 80km/h I just couldn't control it any faster. So now you guys are up to speed. My plan now is to get her on wheels in time for some summer events.

Great so see you here Daniel! As I refuse to get a Facebook account I haven´t been able to see your progress so I really appreciate a proper build thread.

Hi Daniel
What an amazing build , thank you for doing a Thread , ...............heh heh ..........thanks Anders, for being so persuasive ;-)
Good streamlining makes all the difference when theres limited thrust.
Thats going to be an interesting drive on tarmac, I'll be looking forward to hearing about that :-)
Cheers John
