I feel like I must be missing something. In the fuel consumption section it says "We would need a fuel/air ratio of 0.016:1 or 62.5 lbs of air for each pound of kero, to get this temp rise." How is fuel air ratio determined from temperature rise?

The fuel has a certain amount of energy per unit of weight , air needs a certain amount of that energy to raise its temperature , its a balance .
Actually its the fuel/air ratio that determines the resulting temperature , not the other way around
