That depends on the turbine....Just like gas engine get 1 ft.lbs.per hp. and diesels get 4 if you have a 10 to 1 gearbox turbine gets 6 .I worked with both gas and steam version in combined cycle and steam is about the same a gas turbine.Except the steam expands at 2times the speed of air in a gas turbine and delivers the same hp. on half the heat.(The reason in the early day guys found that injecting water was like nitro in AA dragster) Can't say much against radial inflow....because in the day when pistons were King...many of the folks at Boeing,GE,etc that built turbochargers were looking at putting a fire in the box and and having a self powering turbocharger.Brit.... Whittle(SP?) actually delivered on that idea. It is amazing what you learn in 2.5 years at aircraft mechanic school. If that compressor is 55mm you got yourself the same thing, that is in a 25hp Jetcat.Wren had a habit of using GT15 and trimming the compressor profile for faster spoolup....which is 7.5hp on thier turboprop. Actually building a turbine combined cycle steamliner myself....inbritian you to need check out British Steamcar Club on turbines. They modifed a gas turbine for in a single pass instead of like adams nuclear engine and Kilina(geothermal steam with ammonia to alter the boiling point of water).Any rate the british got the record at Bonnevile with a unbelieavable con trial behind them.(50-75ft in diameter behind as they run along with basically an Allison250)

Indeed It Is A Beast Of A Bike. Metal Suit Might Be Required... (I) got 99 Problems But A Frosty Seat Aint One. Haha Glad To Be Apart Of This Group. I Grew Up Watching Majority Of You Fellows. Specially You John Power Turbine Pulse Jet HAHA Never Could Find Were You Guys Conversated At So I Just Follow RCDON And Built My First Engine At Age 12. Been Stuck On These Niffty Contraptions Ever Since. I Will Admit The Ending Bid Was Pertty Darn Close To The Exact Number I Had In The Kz550 Jet Bike Minus My Time In It.

Hi
Welcome to the Forum :-)
More info on the bike build please .
I know how hard it is to fit everything in such a limited space ..............heh heh , making it look pretty is generally a secondary consideration , it certainly was with my bike .
Are you going to build something else ??
Cheers John

Well I Was Wrong To Start Off by Saying It Was An 82 its Actually a 1983 kz550f
The Wind Is Produced by A Gt35 Diy Jet engine.
Starting on Propane And Running On Diesel Now.
The Ignition Is Old School Model A Coil Pack.
Still Starts From Leaf Blower..
But Hoping For EDF Starter
The Power Turbine/ Cartridge Starter
I Collected Back when I was 14
I cant remember if its to a Kc-135 or an F-4 Phantom
I Seen A Gokart With One.
Not the Gokart that Went Threw Ebay.
Mine Originally Was For a Gokart
but the Push To Get It built for drag races at fair when i was Younger melted a turbo.
And Lost Interest in It till About 3 months ago.
Yes I have Continiuations Of these Turbo Addictions Including At Gtp-67 Gavin To Me From A Old War Vet who Found Interest in My Turbo Projects When I was Younger.
I Think You Guys Know Of the Only other Bike Out there with Similar engine..
Only Difference I wanna Figure Out is The exhaust out the side I want splits out the Front Mocking Two TwoStroke Pipes.
