The inner tube always runs hotter so expands into the outer and takes up the initial clearance space

Hi guys!
As things stand right now I wont be able to do any racing with the bike in any near future, and the shooting has taken an unexpected turn since I got elected into the Swedish IPSC shooting national team for the World Championship in Thailand next year.
Since shooting at that level isnt a part time hobby the bike will be standing in the workshop and that would not feel good at all since it is just about ready to race.
I really want to see this bike run to its full potential, and like John I'd happily let someone else capable do the running since my main interest is building stuff. Plus I have my hands full with my and Olovs turbine ice yacht.
So, if a suitable person would have interest in taking over custody of the gas turbine bike with a serious goal to go racing with it I would consider letting it go for a sum we can agree on.
I can be contacted at dukedr@hotmail.com.

Congrats on that achievement! Shame you can't just ride the bike to all the events haha. I wanna see Racket give it a proper run but I do think even he would be brave enough (neither would I!)

Hi Anders
Sorry to hear you won't be trying for the 200 MPH , but understand :-)
To anyone taking over custodianship of the bike I'll be here to provide any help I can with the engine, I'd really love to hear her at the designed 5:1 PR, 3.3 lbs/sec flow and >200 HP at the rear wheel
Cheers John

Hi guys! Hope you are all doing well in here, I come in peace with good news! A couple of weeks ago my good friend Bjursingen came to visit with his family, so while the kids were playing we decided to see if the JU-02 would run properly in the bike chassis. It sure did, TOT´s of just above 500C at idle and slowly rising when throttling up to 2 bar P2. The problem with a high boost engine and syringe injectors is that when throttling down the fuel pressure can get lower than the P2 and cause a flameout, which is what happened in the video. Oil pressure at +6kg during the whole run so the 24v pump feed fixed the oil pressure issues I had before. With the whole world going mad over the Covid plandemic there won't be any local races held any time soon, but if I keep the bike fairings waxed and myself unvaxxed both bike and rider will be in perfect health for the time when the world gets back to something close to normal again. Until then, take care folks and buckle up. /Anders

Hi Anders
Love the twin "rooster tails" of flames coming from the exhaust :-)
It just goes to show how good your engine is that after sitting quietly for so long that it fired up OK .
Heh heh , ... Your mate was probably thinking he'd rather stay sitting on his bike, than yours ;-)
Cheers John

Hi John, The orange 200 bar scuba tanks are on the weak side to get this engine started, not many seconds of preheat before the pressure drops too much to get it up to a safe idle. With 300 bar and more bottle volume the "rooster tails" would be a bit smaller, but it makes for a good show. I was about to give her a run down the road after this video, but having emptied my last scuba bottle I managed to flip the fuel pump switch when I was getting seated so we called it a day. Probably just as well, I don´t think the horse people in the village would appreciate me blasting by at high idle (100+km/h).... I have really started to get my slumbering turbine interest back, guess I needed some time off to get the shooting and the house overhaul sorted out. Not much to write about though but if the world is still spinning next summer I will try to rent an air strip and do some >300km/h runs to find out just what she is capable of. Bjursingen made a video of the first ever run of the bike, it was at the ice lake runs where I managed to do a second run at an average of just over 200km/h. The run was so wild that it broke the steering damper, I am to this day amazed that I kept the bike upright and didn't shit my pants during the run since the front fork kept slamming back and forth between the steering stops from 150km/h and up... A nice piece of history for sure, sorry about the gibberish language. I have managed to find the password to my backup Youtube account so I will start uploading the important stuff there and do a summary post here with a bunch of engine and bike runs. Take care my friends! /Anders

Hi Mark, Nice work on the trike! I am looking forward to hearing it roar for the first time. In hindsight it wasnt the best idea to delete the YT account, but I was pissed off one night when another one of my favourite channels got deleted for speaking against the government narrative. I am uploading the old videos at: www.youtube.com/user/MobackenracingCheers! /Anders
