It's been said the most stupid question is the one that hasn't been asked, so here it is... How do I find the model of my Rolls Royce Nimbus? I found easily the plate with the year (1971) and the type (Mark 105-01). However, the manuals show the diagrams and instructions for several models: pre-713, 713 to 719, and post 719. I am having a hard time identifying which one is mine. I've looked around the engine but no other markers.
Any ideas, Nimbus owners out there? Thanks all,
Pablo

Hi Pablo, I think the instruction mentioning pre-713, 713 etc. refer to the modifications and upgrades that were done to the engine in service and you would probably find labels like this on the engine. This is on my Nimbus gearbox and shows it has had mods 625, 628, 633, 645, 646, 649 & 655 done to the gearbox. The numbers you have could be for the starter, FCU or any other parts on the engine, I don't have access to the MOD list to see what they refer to? What are you looking up in the manual that has diagrams referring to those numbers? Your engine is a 105, this lists the variants and the minor differences. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_Siddeley_Nimbus Cheers ian...

Hey Ian, thanks for your answer! Sorry for the delay replying (I'm a weekend warrior). You were right on the money, the model is by the fuel governor. Thanks again,
Pablo
