While working on my current build and thinking of my next build, has anyone built a Shreckling type compressor out of 100% carbon fiber? Seems doable, especially if you vacuum bagged the curved blades over say a short section of say a teardrop section of a sailboat aluminum extruded boom or mast. What thrust could you realistically expect from a 100 mm compressor? I weighed my 80mm aluminum compressor, and at .3 pounds, it's not exactly light. I've seen YouTube video of a German gentleman, who made a 2:1 scale Shreckling engine, but he never posted thrust values for it.

Hi Jeff
Thrust increase would be in line with the increase in the area of the compressor wheel inlet , everything else being equal , ............so a 2:1 scaled engine would give 4 times the thrust.
