Those Nitrous filters do a great job on fuel and Nitrous. The screen factor is 40 microns.

Be sure to cut the oil filter open and check the contents...

I did a test with the bike today but ran out of air in the scuba tank before I had figured out the idle throttle setting, I´ll give it another go once I have had the scuba tanks filled.
Cheers! /Anders

I tried the bike again today with newly filled scuba tanks, but no go. The engine won´t increase in revs when the fuel is applied, it just sends billowing flames out the exhaust pipe. After some consideration I measured the inner diameter of the syringe injectors, both the new ones and the ones I used before. Small wonder the engine didn´t run, the new green size syringes have an inner diameter of slightly over 0.5mm while the old ones was a snug 0.4mm ID. The flow areas are 0.23mm2 compared to 0.125mm2, in other words almost twice the flow area. Looking at some syringe charts found with Google there seems to be some kind of confusion with the color markings, for example Black can be both 0.305mm OD and 0.7mm OD depending on where on what chart you look at... I´ve just ordered a set of 0.7mm OD Black syringes which should be of the same size as the old ones that apparently worked just fine, they choked at around 2.5bar P2 but with water injection I think I should get some decent speed out of the bike anyway. Good thing I found this out now and not a week before the One Mile race. Cheers! /Anders

A pic from before the test, I have some video as well but it is pretty much worthless since the bike didn´t start. Engine removed from the bike and uncovered in 5 minutes. 15 minutes more and it looked like this. Now I just have to wait for the syringes to arrive... Cheers! /Anders

Thank YOU Anders for this highly educational thread and for sharing your pioneering build experience.
If this thread inspires more people to do just 1/10th of what you have done, you've made a significant advancement for the DIY turbine community. ...There is no doubt you have.

Sweeping the floors perhaps, I strongly doubt that an uneducated backyard tinkerer like myself would fit in with the schooled shirt and tie guys. I like the thought though.

I knew scientists in the Boeing propulsion engineering department that had 3 Phd's and they couldn't do anything near what you can do.
If you're interested in Aerospace, you should go for it. Now. I'm positive you could land a great job very quickly. Any aerospace propulsion company would be lucky to have you on the team. Any job interviewer who saw this thread would hire you immediately.
If you wanted a job at Boeing, I will be the first to make phone calls for you.

I know engineers in the SpaceX propulsion department. People who have done great things in their own garage too. If they saw this thread they would totally understand and appreciate your skills.
They would hire you in 2 seconds.

If I didn´t have a family here in Sweden I´d be jumping at any opportunity to get employment at one of those companies, with two kids and a house it gets a bit more complicated since I would have to ask the family to leave friends and schools just so that I can get me a fun job.

Yeah. I understand. That would be a drastic change for you and the family. Just keep doing what you are doing and things will happen for you.
