Hi everyone! My name is Rico, and I have had a life-long obsession with tinkering. A turbocharger based gas turbine has been on the to-do list for a long time, so I've decided to get on with it.
My professional experience with gas turbines is based on 8 years of engine maintenance in the US Air Force. I've had the pleasure of working on the C-130, with it's Rolls-Royce T-56 (both -15 and -7 series), and more recently the KC-135R, outfitted with the F-108 (AKA CFM56-2b). There's also been some involvement with the APU's for both aircraft along the way.

Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum but not to turbine engines. My name is Justin and I live in South Wales, UK. I collect, restore and run jet turbine engines. Have built a DIY turbocharger jet turbine but now have moved onto bigger projects. Currently have the following in my collection RR Nimbus, RR Viper 535, Walter M701 and RR RB211-22B. There's alot more info on my website: www.jetpropulsion.co.ukI am a medical doctor by profession and all my engineering is self taught and very much DIY!! Very pleased to see this forum as there's not much out there for the likes of us.

Welcome Justin! Make yourself at home. It would be interesting to see a project thread about your DIY engine.
