Hi Chris
I notice thats an "au" Ebay Link , whereabouts in Oz are you ??
Some of these pumps can "leak" around that cover plate when under pressure , 12 lpm would be nill pressure flow so it will be considerably less at say 50 psi , but probably worth a try :-)
Cheers John

I was going to use that or just an efi fuel pump or two. Im asuming you’re in oz aswell? Thanks for the help.

Hi Chris
I'm just down the road a tad south of Port Macquarie, nice to know theres another builder so "close" :-)
EFI pumps aren't any good with "thick" oil , I tried one with relatively thin turbine oil on my 9/94 engine but it struggled , you're much better off with the pump you're looking at , if it leaks around that relatively thin plate if it buckles under pressure , its possible to replace it with a thicker plate over the top of it and some longer screws.
Cheers John

Small world after all. Good to know i can fix the pump if it leaks and shouldn’t be to hard as im a metal fabricator anyway. Going to regulate oil pressure with an automotive fuel reg hope that handles the thicker oil too.

We used a similar pump on our build and it had problems with managing heat. I think there was a heat safety switch inside which turned the pump off and after we took it off the plastic cap where the brushes are mounted melted. If you think of making a metal cap remember you need to have some sort of insulation between the brushes and the cap, no electricity can run thru the brushes to the cap via screws or such. Secondly the pump flows a bit too much oil for a medium sized turbo I think, we had it coupled to a BW S257 turbo and had to by-pass some oil, we thought of turning down the gears, but never tried.
Nowadays I think there's much more reasonable solutions such as hydraulic gear pumps coupled to a separate motor with a speed controller. See user 'andym' previous posts for reference.

Thje transfer pump you are referring to is rated at a 3 meter lift.. Not much pressure out of it.. I doubt it would be enough.

The pump head itself produces easy 8bar at cold oil temps and at running temps plenty enough for any DIY turbines, its just the electronics of the pump that sucks.

Make sure you use a large enough fuel pressure reg to handle the oil. I started off with an aeromotive one good for 1000hp but was way too small. It couldn’t bypass enough. Ended up using this bad boy from GFB in the link below. (PN: GFB 8070) jetandturbineowners.proboards.com/thread/966/hc5a-kart-build?page=7
