Hi Wolf
LOL, it sure is , much nicer looking than my old Sharp EL500 from circa 1979 which is only good for pencil on paper drawings ;-)
Cheers John

Hi Anders, my old head of the design and development department always said "if it looks good it will work well..." And if this credo is good enough for Porsche it's good enough for me

Hi Anders, Hah, Looking good man! If you can send me the AutoCad file you have, I can import that into SW and snazz it up for ya if you like. -Ash At this point it is only a rough scetch so no use wasting any SW time on it, will get back to you later when I have a finished drawing of the completed engine.

Its an appealing thought to look at what we do as such an artistic expression..... =)

Hi Ash
LOL.......yeh , I recon my organically engineered engines are "art works" , I really don't know how they're going to turn out until they're finished ...............heh heh , maybe I should do better drawings before starting the build :-)
Cheers John

It is those last minute changes based on a gut feeling that makes this hobby so damn fun! ;D

Hi Anders
Heh heh , you mean those "OH SHIT" moments when something just doesn't look right and we have to get out the pencil and paper to workout an alternative in a hurry .
Cheers John

I found a stainless cone that I got when the local powerplant was rebuilt, I decided to try to build the power turbine ducting from it to save some work. Making a 2mm stainless cone this size would be pretty difficult so if it turns out well it would be great. I had to get the small diameter down a bit to fit the 4" V-band flange. Two nostrils filled with cutting dust later... After some bending it started to look like a transition cone, it still needs some tweaking before I weld it to the flange but that will have to wait until the next workshop pass. Cheers!

I hope so, we´ll see what it looks like once I have welded up the slots... So you just happened to find a 2.5m long stainless tube under a pile of wood? I would like to visit some time to go treasure hunting!
