I took some measurements just now, each of the 29 unmodified nozzle throats are 3cm2 (at their correct lenght) and angled at 20° over the entire vane length. Closeup of the throat. Cheers! /Anders

Hi Anders
You might need to tighten up the throats a bit to get the right total area , ....but looking like it should :-))
Cheers John

Nice NGV there Mark, any pics of the internals? I did some reprofiling of a couple of vanes half an hour ago to see if I could get a tigher throat area without tightening the angles any further, after some serious head scratching I used the hydraulic press to flatten the last 18mm of the vane and give it some additional twist at the "intake". Compare this to the unmodified vanes and you´ll see the difference. This did the trick, now the throat section is between the edge of one vane and the sharp bend on the next so when I bend the rear edge of a vane I won´t get the "catch 22" moment where the throat opens up again when I bend the next one... Will do some more testing before I decide to do it to the rest of the vanes, but it is looking promising so far. The final adjustments can be made with the NGV welded together so I just have to get in the ballpark right now, will be aiming for a total throat area of slightly less than 70cm2. Cheers! /Anders

Thanks for the pics Mark, interesting to see that the vanes are relatively short and that there isn´t any axial inlet guide section of the vanes at all. Feels like I am being very gentle to the jet stream with my long vanes.
