Where does the time go? Finally got a steel oil line run to the turbo. Also, built the propane system and should install that this evening. All that's left is to put my spark system on it and fire it up.
More updated pics to come. jamie

Here is the fuel rail I finished last night. Left side is a 1/4" ball valve. It also has a needle valve to control idle. Jamie Attachments:

Here is the engine almost complete ;D The fuel rail was mounted last night. Also, you might be able to see the exhaust pipe is wrapped in a high temp ceramic material to control radiant heat. Also, you can see where I replaced the hose to the turbo with a steel one. All that I am missing is getting my sparker installed and give everything a once over, then throw some oil in it. Almost time to fire it up! Jamie Attachments:

Thanks! It's nice when other builders can appreciate the effort that goes into these. My neighbors/friends don't quite get it.

Jamie, the guys at systemacc.com sell rebuild kits for the shurflo pumps, it's a quick job to swap out the internals for the buna/geolast soft goods

wolf - I called shurflo and they shipped me one. It took longer to get the motor off the rig than it did to replace the head with seals.

Ignition system done! 3 million volts creating a pulsing 1/4" arc! I hacked a stun gun...removed the charging stuff, batteries, switches. Added a 12 volt to 5 volt converter, and a 555 relay timer to pulse the device to keep the stun parts at a decent duty cycle. LOUD sparks.
Also filled it up with synthetic oil last night. Did a little spool up test with no fuel. I got it to 6,000 rpms on the gas blower... think that will be fast enough?

Nice build..
When you get a chance, how about showing a build of the ignition box. Sounds like you have a new idea on a old problem..

Will do. What do you think about my rpm question? Do you think 6,000 rpms will be enough to start it?

I think that your 6000rpm will do, when you start feeding the combustor some propane while using the leaf blower you will see the revs climb at an alarming rate.

Following are some pics that describe my spark circuit. I took a 3 million volt stun gun, removed all the guts except the spark module (it has a pos and neg wire in, and on the other end, two spark electrodes... Jamie Attachments:
