Getting more work done on the rear end tonight, soon we have all chassis mounted hardware in place and can switch place with the front end where the steering and control panel will be built. It is darn near impossible to take pics of the progress since it is just a nest of frame tubes, hoses and stuff, Olov managed to take a sneak picture of me welding a bracket to the power turbine exhaust duct though. Cheers! /Anders

Yup the rear end is becoming pretty solid. Once the front and rear are bolted together we will fit scales where the runners will be to get an idea what the weight distribution will be. Olov has dropped 10kg since we started building it (probably the wallet getting lighter but with him and all liquids added the race weight will be pretty high. Good thing since it will run better on the ice with a bit of weight on the runners.

Hi Anders,
It won't take much thrust to move an iceboat along at a good clip. There is virtually zero resistance as long as your aft runners are perfectly parallel. The only thing with less resistance might be a magnetic train.
Mother Nature hasn't co-operated with temps to make much ice here in Michigan.
Regards
Jeff
