I've posted this same thing on the pulse-jet forum but nobody seems to care. Carbon-copy the the jato forum, see what you guys think I started building the M500 today! I'll use this topic as a build log. As far as I know this is the most powerfull valveless pulsejet ever build. I made one half of the tailpipe and the intake items. I'm going to need more steel for the rest of the engine. The intakes are also the only components of the engine I can still roll by hand, I'll have to find a company somewhere to do the big ones for me. My college has a nice sheetroller but I don't think the workshop's going to be open during summer break. Anyone from the Netherlands have a sheetroller I could use or knows someone/ a company that could do it for me (dirt cheap, preferably) Ace_Fedde, are you still on the forum? I was able to roll the choke cone and intakes myself. I'll probably be able to do the tailpipe and cc as well. That still leaves the rectifier and tailcone. I'll need more steel for the tailcone. half the tailpipe and intakes rectifier and 2nd half of tailpipe cc, choke and rectifier cut out intake items rolled Intakes welded choke cone and intakes Rough layouts of components

I need some welding wire, 0.8mm, 316lsi 1 or 2kg roll, ridiculously hard to find in the Netherlands. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Sweet! The pulsejet forum is more or less dead nowadays, very sad since it was a great source of information a couple of years ago. Is the great-ol-mighty M involved in this build?

Perhaps as well, no hard feelings remain from my part after the Thunderchine chapter but the guy cannot be 100% mentally stable...
Keep posting updates Metiz, we demand an active build thread!

I'd love to continue but I'm out of welding wire...I can make the flare cones and that's about it. Anyone got a source for, prefably, 1kg of .8mm 316lsi mig wire?

I just did a search on Ebay and found lots of dealers, find one in your country to save in on postage.

But postage is the same all over Europe, so as long as it isn't a US seller you should get a cheap (or even free) postage.

I found a Dutch supplier, the one I always use, to get a 5kg roll for a relatively cheap price (94 euro). I hoped I could find a 1kg supplier but that's all but impossible apparently. Usually costs about 110 so It's cheaper on the long haul I guess. Back in business in a couple of days!

Finished one half of the tailcone The tailpipe was a pain to roll, it's still not perfectly round. I hope that I can use the tailcone, when professionally rolled, as a guide to get this pipe nice and round Layout of the components so far
