Any sheet metal shop can roll the tubes.
How long is this motor?

Don't have the plans here but about 2850mm. Longest single sheet is about 1006mm long (unrolled, it's a cone)

So after contacting about 20 companies and getting no from each one: necessity is the mother of invention. Now I just need to find a place that can *sigh* drill some M16 holes for me.

That´s the spirit son! How are things progressing with the slip rollers?

Almost done. I just need to add a baseplate and a handle to the top roller and I should be good to go

Just finished today and started rolling the rectifier. It's a real pain in the ass: the handles on my roller aren't nearly long enough to get enough power to the rollers, but a piece of pipe slid over them works magic. I also negleted to acount for the huge momentum on the rig when I roll, causing it to tip over quite easily, I'll have to put some crossmembers on there to prevent that. I'd like to take a picture but my mom borrowed the camera for her vaction. I'll take one later.

I bought a new slip roller a couple of years ago, the rollers were 1000mm long and would supposedly handle 1.5mm thick steel sheet.
1.5mm my ass, anything thicker than 1mm made the shitty upper roller flex so the edges of the sheet were rolled but not the centre. Needless to say I returned it the same week and built a steel pipe hand worked "roller" instead...

I'm using pipe with 4mm walls and I get that problem too (could be due to offset rollers though) I had to hammer a whole bunch to get it decently round. Now I "just" need to get the edges together so I can weld. Won't fit my vice, can't bend it myself (1.5mm)....lemme try something

Wow, that is huge, it looks really good too, nice job.
You're gonna need some serious ear protection when that fires up ;D

Steve.

How are you going to support this engine? I figure it will have to be suspended in a crade with several moving joints so it is free to expand and is held at multiple locations so the sheet metal cones and tubes won´t get damaged.
The weight of the tailpipe might fold the engine at the thinnest section after the CC.
