Hi Guys, Sorry I haven't been getting into the site as often as I should but you know how it is with workloads. I don't think B1 was giving all it had on the day due mostly to the fuel pump, as I had to use a $120 rip off Bosch pump as opposed to a real $500 Bosch unit, which is why I had to tweak the throttle on this start. Normally B1 gets to self sustain in six seconds or less with no human inputs. That being said, the pump died the next day on post run inspection, so I have to strip B1 down and see exactly what went wrong. I've already swapped out the throttle controller for a new one but the ciruit is still dead. The chain got stretched alomost 15mm on the day and the front lawn caught fire from the flying exhaust guide vane, but fortunately the wife hasn't spotted the burn marks yet . I hope you all don't mind, but I've asked Vanessa to join the site and keep you all filled in on a more regular basis with what goes on and what has happened at this end. I hope to get into the site a bit more regularly myself but things are flat out for now and Vanessa is here at the workshop most days looking, assisting and learning what goes on and has more Internet time available than I do. She also has been keeping the video and photo record of the tests so she will put up some of the material from the more "interesting" runs. She also loves the idea of Jet power and horse power in general so it wasn't a big ask for her.

Hi everyone, Im honoured to be here amongst the big boys and hope that it dosnt make anyone uncomfortable. Andrew has told me a lot about the site and everyone on it and I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can. I really love being involved with jet stuff and Andrew has tried to involve me in as much of what he is doing as possible. I'm looking forward to seeing the projects that Andrew has told me about and finally being able to talk to the people that Andrew tells me about. I don't know how much I can add to the technical stuff, but at least I can start putting up all of the things Andrew has been designing, building and testing, as he is so very busy these days and really needs help to do all these things. The main reason I like doing the Jetbike stuff is because I've never really liked doing the boring stuff that most other girls like. What Andrews been doing is wild and amazing and so is most of the stuff you guys have been doing. There's nothing more awsome than watching what you guys do for a hobby. It sure beats standing around watching the cricket It was the biggest thrill of my life handling B1 for the first time and I want to do some much more: it sure beats the hell out of painting my nails. I love getting involved with high tech and explosive things and also love to be a part of something extreme and new. I'm not too technically minded but I still love the technical stuff and what can be done with it. I also love guns and explosives and Andrew has been educating me as much as possible. I wish we were in Europe or America so we could test B1 properly but here in Australia it is so difficult. If it's ok with everyone I would like to put all the stuff in Andrew's thread to show what we have been doing, but am I allowed to join in with some of the other threads?

Welcome ...... like they say behind every good man, is a good women:-) I have my own jet girl, she is not so hands on but does most of the videos I post from our trips to the track, cooks and makes tea for us all. But most of all keeps my head in a good place when things dont go quite to plan, my rock Looking forward to future postings of the project All best Andy

Hi Guys, Thanks for that! I'm having so much fun being involved in the jet scene Andrew has talked about all your work as well, but I would never call him slack because he works harder than anyone else I know. He almost worked himself to death recently and actually ended up in hospital for seven days recovering and he is still recovering He works so hard that most days he dosnt even get time to eat or even watch tv. He works for about sixteen hours a day doing things for everyone else which is why he asked me to put stuff up because he says it takes him fifteen minutes to get into the machine and he just dosent have it. I'm always in the Internet, so it's ok. Andy, Andrew says you live in England and I will be visiting there between May and June so maybe if I can get the time we could meet somewhere in London or where you live if it's not too far? Anders, Andrew showed me the video of your Jetbike ride and I'm hoping we can put more of B1s rides up because it looked awsome from your Go Pro. John, I should be able to meet you in the not too distant future because Andrew really wants you to look at his work first hand. In fact, most of the work Andrew does through the day is for you and B1 Mark, I've already met you and I like your work too

Hi Vanessa
LOL..............maybe one day I'll get to Melbourne , but the older I get the less inclined I am to travel
He's only slack at putting up progress reports , but then I'm guilty of that as well , guess I shouldn't "throw stones" ;-)
Cheers John

Hi Vanessa, We are all waiting for a video of the B1 being run to the limits on a track, you don´t happen to be a motorcyclist as well? From my email conversations with Andrew I know that he is putting together some really neat stuff, unfortunately since he isn´t logged in here very often the build thread gives the impression that not much is happening. I really hope you can do something about that. Just look at my bike thread for inspiration, for every 15 minutes I work on the bike I spend half an hour writing about it. *LOL* Cheers! /Anders

I haven't had an interest in motorcycles before but B1 has certainly given me something to think about, I also love Frank and I sit on both if them when I can. That's why Andrew asked me to get into the site so we can get more stuff up as he really has no time for anything he really wants to do. He hasn't ever had a holiday in all the time Ive known him, and I've known him all my life. Mark, I think your right- I'm one of a kind, and you guys get to enjoy it . John, Andrew has talked about bringing B1 up to you for a long while now, so I don't think you ave to worry about traveling now. And anyway this is Noble Park you'll probenly get mugged LOL . Now that Andrews almost finished B1 and has started B2, I'm looking forward to taking them laces to show people.

Hi John,
Very appreciated that you dug up those old pics of the freepower section, I´ve been wondering about the looks of the gearbox for a while. Any chance that you have any internal pics of the gearbox/pics of the pattern making?
Cheers! /Anders
