But It Is Sold For My 21st Birthday To Gas Monkey Bar N Grill. An I Got A Gtp 67 on The Shelf Also In Current Buying A Boeing Power Turbine I Am Just Curious As To if You All Like To Make A Plan For The Isle Of Man? That would be a gathering to remember for sure, unfortunately the Isle of Man race involves corners and is over 2000m long so I have to pass.

Pendine Sands is on my to do-list, I just need to get the bike sorted out and plan for it since a trip there will consume a years worth of vacation for me. Might bring the family along and make it a combined holiday trip. The best thing is that I am only 34 years old, so I don´t feel the grim reaper catching up on me quite yet. No need to rush this in other words, I´ll take it at a pace that won´t leave me bankrupt and divorced. Cheers! /Anders

I have a big, enclosed Race Shuttle trailer and 180 sq. mtrs of workshop/storage if you wanted to ship the bike early. Downside for me is that I'm 4 hours from Pendine but in a beautiful holiday area (if you were bringing the family). The downside for you is that I'd be asking you dumb turbine questions all day long Cheers, Ian

That is very kind of you Ian! When I decide to make the trip (not the upcoming summer but perhaps next) I´ll post the trip plan in my build thread and figure out all of the how´s and when´s, the idea right now is to load everything in a van and take a ship over but we´ll see how it ends. Perhaps best to keep this in PM or in my build thread so we won´t fill Andrews bike thread with off topic talk.

Hi guys, Finally got some time to get in and have a look at what you've all been up to. You've all been busy busy busy. B1 is back on line again now that I've sorted the main issue of the starter. After much farting around with trying to get the original ESC to co-operate, as it's voltage capacity was way too low to allow the motor it's full potential, I swapped it up for one that didn't have the factory restrictions locked into it. John was hoping that unit could be made to run the motor up to sufficient rpm, but after much re-programming and piggy backing to try and get around the problem, it proved to be an unwinnable battle. It did however allow Markus and myself to develop the FADEC and onboard systems controls for all subsequent engine/bike setups in the future, so not a waste of time in the end. The new ESC I picked for B1 allows me to bump the voltage past where the motor John sent me is rated for for the short start we have, as Andy's unit does for the 994 so no stress on the motor...although it does get a bit warm after the 10 second mark on start. Additionally, it has the capacity for some frequency adjustment to over clock the motor to help, which also gets a bit warm after the 10 second mark on start. I wish I'd known this 9 months ago but sometimes in R&D you have to push other peoples wheel barrows to see what happens. So, unlike the Toyota starters that fragged themselves every couple of starts or so, the brushless unit seems to be ok, but we have only done 12 start attempts and 5 actual starts thus far, so I will wait until I hit start number 40 before I begin the celebrations. Interestingly, the starter coupling I made for B1 shows no signs of wear or problems even after 70 odd starts and start attempts, so very happy with that. I've begun work on B2 finally as well.

Hi Andrew
Excellent news about the starter , its always a bummer when the specs don't match the real world numbers :-(
Yep , R and D requires us to be be flexible , if something doesn't work after a reasonable time , ditch it and do some lateral thinking for a solution , ............Heh heh , "theres always a way around it " ;-)
Great to see you back at your build Thread , more pics and info please .
Cheers John
