10 inches would be more than adequate , my 6 incher is a tad small for some jobs , too much unsupported overhang of the job .....................you'll be needing a large one for "The Keg"

Using a 4 jaw chuck and a steel cut off with a 1/2 inch counter sink hole and flaring the tube with a dead center. Attachments:

Got this tip from John W just wind the silver solder rod around the right dia steel rod and cut the rings out. Attachments:

Made up a welding jig and made up the top ring and hand beaten the lip with a hammer, i would of like it spun up but i think this will work out OK. Attachments:

Hi All, Ok it's been a long time since i worked on this project, but back on with the build . I have decided to scrap the annular combustor design. I can see a lot of problems and don't wont to risk the turbine wheel as a replacement wheel will cost a shit load of money so have started building the combustor can that will sit on top of the scroll housing.
