Hi John, There is a lot of ways of shorting axles, this is one of them which i find will do for me. Yeah we will see hows it goes R&D I think it's best to replace the tapped bearings and seals before the steel sleave is welded on. It will be a buggy to replace if i have a oil leak. Cheers, Mark.

And made up gussets for the diff and gearbox structure out of 3 mm plate, which will be welded on top and bottom.

Thanks John, absolutely heavy duty. I'm pretty sure those gussets will do the job, struggling to get the diff in the right position don't wont to have one end sticking out more than the other end. Don't know if i should take measurements from the rear of the frame to the end of the rims.
