Hi Mark

As long as the oil "drops" onto a flat surface the air should come out of it as the fluid spreads , thats all I did with "Frank" and the kart oil tanks, no need for any scourer material , it might only cause more problems if it comes apart and goes into the pump .

I'm copying Andrews design what he done on the jet bike oil tank. here is a pic of the scourer material it doesn't break up when i stretch it out. BTW Andrew should be coming home tomorrow.

If you intend using it, you might need to think about a fine mesh filter at the tank outlet just to be on the safe side .

Thats good news about Andrew being discharged from Hospital , no place to be over Christmas .

The oil tank is almost ready for welding so here is what i have made up for the tank. I think this will work just fine yes it's a bit over kill but what the hell!

Not much work done on the mower project at the moment still waiting for the oil tank to be welded up been 3 weeks now Done some work on the control panel and painted the AB fuel tank. Does anyone know what is a good under cote to use when using red paint I'm finding it very hard to cover up the steel surface

I have been using Red oxide primer the red paint is a bugger to use, put four coats on so far and now you can't see the primer. LOL yes it's getting on the panel i need one more switch for the AB.

I finally got the oil tank welded up and got it ready to drill the mounting holes on the frame. Also got this 12V blower fan for the alternator as i am spinning it anticlockwise and the fan blade on the alternator is not cooling it down as it should. So will do some test on it tomorrow.

Been sanding and preparing the mower chassis for painting, finish the under coat on the chassis will change the color to a Rover green or British racing green
